Step-by-Step Setup (Portal URL Method)

Follow these 6 steps to configure IPTV on your MAG box. Total setup time: about 10 minutes.

1

Connect MAG Box

Connect your MAG device to your TV using an HDMI cable and to the internet via Ethernet cable (recommended) or WiFi. Power on the device and wait for the main menu to appear.

2

Access Settings

From the MAG home screen, navigate to Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals. This is where you configure your IPTV service connection.

3

Enter Portal Name

In the Portal 1 Name field, type "IPTV USA" as the portal name. This label helps you identify the portal if you add multiple services later.

4

Enter Portal URL

In the Portal 1 URL field, paste the Portal URL provided by our support team in your welcome email. Double-check the URL for accuracy before saving.

5

Save and Restart

Press the Save button to store your portal settings. Then restart your MAG device by going to Settings → System Settings → Restart Portal, or simply unplug and reconnect the power.

6

Channels Load Automatically

After rebooting, the MAG box connects to the portal and loads your full channel list on the home screen. Browse by category, search for channels, and start streaming instantly.

MAG Box vs Android TV Box

Both work great for IPTV. Here is how they compare.

MAG Box

  • Dedicated IPTV device
  • Uses Portal URL (Stalker Protocol)
  • Simple, focused interface
  • Very stable for IPTV streaming
  • Limited to IPTV only — no other apps

Android TV Box

  • Multi-purpose streaming device
  • Uses IPTV apps (TiviMate, Smarters, etc.)
  • More flexible and customizable
  • Can install any Android app
  • Requires app setup and configuration

Our recommendation: Choose a MAG box if you want a simple, dedicated IPTV experience with zero configuration beyond the Portal URL. Choose an Android TV box if you want a multi-purpose device that can also run Netflix, YouTube, and other apps alongside IPTV.

MAG Box IPTV FAQ

A MAG box is a dedicated IPTV set-top box manufactured by Infomir. It connects to your TV via HDMI and streams IPTV content through a Portal URL (also called Stalker Portal). MAG boxes are purpose-built for IPTV, offering a stable, simple interface designed specifically for live TV streaming.

After you subscribe to an IPTV USA plan, we send your Portal URL via email along with your account details. You can also contact our 24/7 support team via WhatsApp to receive your Portal URL instantly. The URL is unique to your subscription and is entered directly into your MAG box settings.

The MAG 424 and MAG 425 are the best current models, offering 4K HDR support, built-in WiFi, and a powerful Amlogic S905X2 processor. For budget-friendly options, the MAG 322 delivers solid 1080p performance with built-in WiFi. Older models like the MAG 250 and 254 still work but are limited to 1080p.

Newer MAG models (256, 322, 349, 352, 424, 425) have built-in WiFi. Older models like the MAG 250 and MAG 254 require a USB WiFi adapter. For the best streaming experience, we recommend using an Ethernet cable connection regardless of model, as it provides more stable bandwidth for live TV.

MAG boxes are dedicated IPTV devices with a simple, focused interface that uses Portal URL — great for users who only want IPTV. Amazon Firestick is more versatile, supporting IPTV apps plus Netflix, YouTube, and thousands of other apps. Choose MAG for simplicity and reliability, or Firestick for flexibility and multi-purpose use.
